About Projects

Skansen, a Swedish museum dedicated to showcasing cultural heritage, is launching a “Food & Future” installation to raise awareness about the environmental impact of our food system. This interactive touch table experience, designed for visitors aged 11 and above, aims to educate the public through an engaging story. Developed in collaboration with Skansen educators, the touch table will present key food-related concepts in a way that is both informative and accessible, sparking conversation and reflection on how our food choices shape the future of our planet.

Design Approach

Start Screen:

  • Display the installation’s key message: Food System & Environment
  • Offer multiple ways to explore: tapping circles (details), auto-play (narrated tour), idle loop (content highlights).

Food System & Climate Impact:

  • Image 1: Overall food system picture highlighting 6 climate impact dimensions.
  • Image 2: User taps each dimension (e.g., Greenhouse Gas) for details (text, explanations).

Interactive Scatter Plot:

  • Image 3: Users explore food impact based on their interests.
  • Users can: filter by category, change chart dimensions, compare foods, read explanations, access pre-made stories.

Food Waste Exploration:

  • Image 4: Starts with a relatable animation about food waste.
  • Users can then access key data and connect waste to climate impact (future development).

Food & Health:

  • Image 5: Links data and stories to personal health .

Interactive Data-Driven Experience

Developed a comprehensive interactive digital experience centered around the Food System and Environment. Designed six primary pages and corresponding subpages with a clear information architecture. Created engaging content formats including Story Mode, Narrative Storytelling (infographics, GIFs, animations, videos), Interactive Storytelling (Guide Mode, Quiz Mode), Data Dashboards, and an Explore Mode.

  • Developed engaging data visualizations to communicate key findings.

Conducted in-depth data analysis of Skansen articles to extract key narratives. Developed compelling data visualizations to communicate findings effectively. Utilized data-driven insights to inform the creation of engaging motion graphics and storytelling content.


Motion Design

To effectively communicate the impact of food waste, after conducting a thorough analysis of Skansen’s article archives. Key data points were extracted and transformed into compelling visual narratives. By leveraging data visualization techniques, we created engaging and informative content that highlighted the scale of the issue and inspired audiences to take action.

Developed and implemented an interactive touch table installation at Visualization Center C featuring a comprehensive six-page digital experience focused on the Food System and Environment. Integrated diverse interactive elements including Story Mode, Narrative Storytelling, Guide Mode, Quiz Mode, Dashboard, and Explore Mode to facilitate user engagement and knowledge acquisition. Leveraged advanced touch technology to create an immersive and intuitive learning environment.
